Managing Director at Digital Micrometers Ltd. My metrology career started in 1972 when I began my studies in Mechanical Engineering at Loughborough University. I was sponsored at University by the Neil Tool Group, upon gaining a degree i took up a position in the Group Research Centre at Neil Tools (1974-81) where I was an integral part of the team that developed the first-ever hand-held digital micrometer at Moore and Wright. Following on from Neil Tools, as a Director of Moore and Wright Microsystems and CADAR I gained valuable experience in Metrology over the following 25 years enabling me to establish my own company, Digital Micrometers Ltd. Initially, we worked on developing our own range of metrology equipment. As we’ve grown into the company we are today, we’ve continued to develop the DML range and now also partner with global market leaders.
